MARKET FEATURE: Freedom Valley Farm

We are excited to introduce you to one of our vendors: Freedom Valley Farms!

The dynamic duo, Tara and Rachel, run an amazing horse farm off of Dacusville Highway. They offer several different services, including pony rides, carriage services, summer camps, horse training, birthday parties, and more.

Both of these ladies grew up around the Marietta and River Falls area; always riding horses and volunteering at the local Camp Awanita. They love this community and are excited to be a part of the market.

For May, they will be offering pony rides and a carriage tour around Slater Marietta. Tara and Rachel invite you to look at their Facebook page or visit their website at https://www.fvfarms.org/.

Come see them at our Market! Only a few more days away!

MARKET FEATURE: Sawyer Naturals

Alex & Laura Sawyer are both natives from Ohio. While they had been born and raised in Ohio, they had dreamed for years about moving south. In December 2017 their dreams became reality and they moved to the Greenville, SC area. Sawyer Naturals started with Alex and Laura’s passion for homesteading. They started with a small garden that has become a lifestyle of living as self-sufficiently as possible. As the Sawyer’s become more engaged with the food they were eating, they were also becoming more aware of the skincare products they were using. Utilizing many of the herbs grown on their homestead, Sawyer Naturals uses all the natural ingredients to produce some of the best skincare products available today.

The homestead is so much a part of the Sawyer Naturals that many of the aspects have been incorporated into their logo. No homestead would ever be complete without chickens and pugs are really what make the Sawyer homestead go. Now make no mistake about it, pugs add zero value to the homestead or products but they are more family than animals.

They provide all-natural skincare: Face Scrub, Face Serum, Night Balm, Deodorant, Body Scrub, Body Butter, Handmade Soaps, Lip Scrub, Lip Balm, Hand Salve, Beard Balm, Beard Oil, Hair Oil (and from personal use – the products are TOP NOTCH! 🙂

We moved to Marietta 2 years ago and live on 3 acres and we love where we live! It is a cute town, friendly neighbors, and just a place you want to be!

There are many reasons why they chose to be a part of this fantastic market – but most important was the despite to get to know more of their neighbors and community. They love the small-town feel and want to keep it that way!

Additional Info: You can find them online at sawyernaturals.com and also under Sawyer Naturals on Facebook & Instagram.

We are thrilled they are a part of our market on the first Friday of every month! Come see them this Friday, June 4th from 4pm- 8pm!

Market Feature: Common Ground Farm

We are so excited to introduce you to one of our farmers: Christiana Mayfield. She started Common Ground in the fall of 2019 after graduating from Greenville Tech’s Sustainable Ag program. They are located right off Geer Hwy between TR and Marietta.

Their goal is to connect with and provide for the community around us, while also caring for the earth as best we can. They are a unique micro-farm, growing on a 1/4 acre in our backyard. Common Ground strives to be as organic and regenerative as possible, even making all of their own compost! They will be offering vegetables and greens throughout the season, as well as garden transplants and cut flower bouquets.

Christiana and her husband and just welcomed our first baby last fall, and their family is excited to be a part of the market community! Please visit their Facebook page for more information – and meet them at our Market on Friday, June 4th from 4pm-8pm!
